Zakary graduated from University College Cork with a Bsc in politics in 2008. Since then, he has pursued postgraduate study in interior design, fashion marketing, and currently an MA in Digital Arts. Currently based between Cork and Valencia, Zakary is the fashion director of FRV magazine, whilst also managing and designing for his own label. Zakary has many disparate interests, and as such attempts to integrate these into his work. Zakary views his collections as more than simple rolls of fabric morphed into 20 looks, instead he endeavours to create multi-sensorial experiences which express the themes and concepts which underlie his sartorial vision.
Planetary Paramnesia
Entitled Planetary Paramnesia, Zakary’s current project deals with historical recurrence, and the evolutionary derived neurological adaptations which may contribute to the species-distinct behavioural cycle. For his current project, Zakary has created a fashion-based work which purports to engage the viewer centripetally, utilising a thematically inspired electronic composition and moving image.
